Facebook Allows All WordPress Users To Use Instant Articles With New Plugin
Facebook has been a company which has been growing faster than ever before. The company has been coming out with a large number of changes and updates, and has introduced several new additions to their offerings which have traditionally not been a part of social media in the past. The company has been updating their platform to be the apex internet browsing experience and Facebook has been making many major changes. One of the latest Facebook updates have been towards pushing the Instant Articles.
The instant articles have been introduced by the company with a vision that it will help the users access content faster than ever before. The Instant Articles, according to the company, have also been quite popular with the users and Facebook has now released a wordpress plugin for the same.
According to Facebook, over 25% of the websites on the internet are powered by WordPress, which quite a massive number. The company has further detailed it in a blog post where they have said –
"When Instant Articles opens up in April, publishers that use standard WordPress templates can activate the plugin out-of-the-box to create Instant Articles. Publishers that want a more customized production experience can extend the plugin to support additional elements. We encourage all interested publishers on WordPress to review the plugin's documentation andFAQs.
The plugin is open source, and we encourage the community to participate in its development to help publishers of all types take full advantage of the fast, native experience of Instant Articles."
The update, when it will finally come out, is going to help a lot of websites and publishers instantly switch over to instant articles, giving the users of Facebook as well as the publishers an added advantage. Facebook is looking at a 'one family of apps for everything' kind of an approach and has been doing a good job at it.
