In the complaint mailed to the chief minister, copies of which were sent to the DGP and the district police chief, Malappuram, Jabbar said the posts in the blog muhajir2015.wordpress.com were seditious in nature. He requested the authorities to find out the anonymous bloggers and bring them before the law. Jabbar has also requested for police protection in the wake of the death threat .
On April, 30, 2016, TOI had reported that death threats were issued against the members of the Freethinkers, a Facebook community of liberal and progressive thinkers in the IS blog. The post carried profile pictures of the murder targets. TOI had also reported that the youth who were suspected to have joined the IS were inspired by the blog and that they had asked their family members to read it to know about real Islam. The news reports were attached with Jabbar's complaint. Jabbar and the members of the community were mentioned in the posts as `Jabras', considered as enemies of Islam in Kerala. Jabbar has been singled out as he has been vehement in attacking Islam. The person behind the blog was suspected to be a former member of the Freethinkers. It was evident from the posts that the person was very familiar with Jabbar and his ideology . Jabbar, who left the Kerala Yukthivadi Sangham after difference of opinion a few years ago, formed the Yukthivadi Sangham, Malappuram, along with other like-minded people. He is the chairman of Science Trust and editorial board member of Yukthiyugam.
