A competent presence on the web is becoming more and more of a must.

It's a simple idea: The sketchier your company website or personal blog looks, the harder a time you'll have getting potential customers to take you seriously. 

WordPress has long been a go-to platform for both professionals and amateurs looking to easily create their own sites. It offers dozens of pleasant-looking templates at no cost, and while that's convenient enough for most, getting a more original layout can prove expensive.

Right now, that's a hair under $8.

If you opt for the fuller selection, you get a series of designs that are each aimed at different kinds of businesses. "Invisi" and "Magma" are laid out for smaller web magazines and personal blogs, "Photex" is designed for art marketplaces, "Immensely" works for more traditional businesses, and so on.

Aside from looking sharp, the designs also adapt naturally to smartphone and tablet browsers. They usually range from $35 to $55 on their own, so there's some value here.
