PIB launches blog to mark 69th Independence Day
The Press Information Bureau, under the aegis of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Saturday launched its blog to mark the country's 69th Independence Day.
The blog, https://pibindia.wordpress.com/ , currently has posts or articles by various Union Ministers such as Birender Singh, Minister of Rural Development and Prakash Javadekar, Minister of State (Independent charge) for Environment and Forest, and by Ministries such as Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, highlighting the key achievements of the government.
A colourful factsheet on the governments activities is also embedded in the blog.
The move is a part of its overall shift towards more interactive social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, among others.
The initiative is an attempt to facilitate the qualitative flow of information to the concerned stakeholders such as journalists, citizens and keep them engaged with the government.
The blog can also be accessed from PIBs website, www.pib.gov.in, through the link on the homepage, Our Blog.
